Henk Herman Nap

Prof. dr. Henk Herman Nap is a full Professor in Value-based Digital Care Innovations at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Henk Herman Nap obtained his MSc in Psychology from Utrecht University in 2002 and completed his PhD at TU/e in 2008 in the field of gerontechnology. Since 2014, he has been affiliated with Vilans, the national centre of expertise for long-term care, where he works as an expert in digital care. Henk Herman has more than 20 years of experience in research on digital care and gerontechnology, both nationally and internationally. He has coordinated more than 40 research and development (R&D) projects and secured more than 30 research grants. His work focuses on improving the quality, accessibility, and affordability of care through technology. Particular emphasis is placed on reducing the workload of care professionals, supporting people with dementia through AI-driven applications, and promoting the independence and quality of life of older people.
